Intentions For 2014

meditation

Dear friends,

As the holidays are coming to a close and I’m preparing for a new year, I take some time to reflect on the past and give thanks. New Years Eve no longer consists of late night parties and cocktails but rather it’s a reflective, spiritual time for me.

In the past, I have been to Kripalu and Jivamukti Yoga in NYC to meditate and OM in the new year. Yet, as of today I have no plans. It will either be spent in solitude looking back on the past year with gratitude or with a couple of friends intentionally stating and sharing our desires.

As I look to plan my 2014, I decide what to focus on.  Rather than resolutions that may putter out by March, I focus on how I want to feel in the new year. This question is then asked in every aspect of my life: health, business, relationships, fun/downtime, spiritually, and friends/family.   With a new business development coming in the next few months, I need to make sure that my fun and relationship time does not get pushed aside.

thinking

Have you thought about what you would like to create in 2014?

Is it to find a new job or rather, your soul’s calling? How about planning a trip for the summer? You can start planning the dates along with saving money for it or even opening up a vacation fund. Want to join a gym, yoga, or pilates? Need to lose a few unwanted pounds? Start slow and sit in a steam room to detox if the gym provides it, plus it’s great for your skin!

Have you considered meditating every morning? You can download free meditations online or on your iPhone. Do you have friends you haven’t spoken to in a while? Reconnecting with them by planning a lunch or meeting for tea are nourishments for the soul.

Need more nature time? How about strolling in the park or finding a new one to explore? In need of spa time?  A massage or even a manicure/pedicure will be a sweet addition to your self-care.

So as this year comes to a close, I want to give thanks to you for taking the time out of your busy lives to follow and read my blog. I wish you and your family many holiday blessings and a new year filled with radiant health and much love.

I’d love to hear what your desires and sacred intentions are for this new year. What changes do you want to see in your life? Please share, as intentions are intensified when either spoken or when written down.

Blessings to you,
