063: How To Stop Feeling Like Shit with Andrea Owen

When I came across the book, “How to Stop Feeling Like Shit: 14 Habits That Are Holding You Back From Happiness,” by Andrea Owen, I had many questions. Andrea is a certified life coach who helps high-achieving women let go of perfectionism, control, and isolation and choosing courage and confidence instead. She joins me on the podcast this week. So, I had the opportunity to ask her the questions that came to mind when I first saw her book. Most specifically I wondered if there were downsides to being a strong and empowered woman, things I felt were part of my DNA. We chat about that and more.

We jammed on:

  • Why being strong may have its downsides
  • Why ambitious women are naturally hyper-independent and why we need to allow help from others
  • What being in control 24/7 really means
  • Can we really give zero fucks about everything?
